Daniel Morales’ Bio
Daniel is an Advisor, Consultant and a Serial Entrepreneur. He starts, runs and manages small businesses and is also a Consultant and Advisor to selected organizations, businsses and individuals. He is a dynamic trainer and public speaker on topics of small business, entrepreurship, personal and professional development and the impact of current affairs in business and personal life.
In his previous experience in the economic and business development fields, Daniel was the Director for the San Gabriel Valley Small Business Development Center, hosted by Mt. San Antonio College in Los Angeles. Prior to that we was director for Valley Economic Development Center. This Center manages numerous projects in Los Angeles County. The projects Daniel oversaw included: Los Angeles County Business Assistance Centers, Economic Development Initiatives, Small Business Development Centers, and Disaster Assistance Centers.
Daniel was also Interim Director for Professional and Organizational Development at Mt. San Antonio College. He was also on special assigment working with Mt. San Antonio College coordinating the efforts of implementing new Website Content Management System solutions to bring updated and leading edge information to the College website and allow hundreds of users, staff, professors, and students update their own website content.
He is also founder of the Latino American Economic Development Institute and the Los Angeles Economic Development Institute a non-profit organizations whose mission is to provide training and capacity building to create prosperity in the local communities by providing resources and access to training, counseling and resources to local community based organizations, entrepreneurs, small business owners in the greater Los Angeles area.
Daniel’s entrepreneurial ventures include starting, managing, and operating several businesses in the fields of manufacturing, import / export, internet technologies, and software development and internet online ventures.
His most recent venture included starting and managing the operations for MandrakeSoft, Inc., with headquarters in Paris, France and Pasadena, CA, which distributed software in over 180 countries. MandrakeSoft received over $20 Million in venture capital and grew their initial team from 5 to over 150 employees in over 20 countries in only 2 years when they went public in the Paris Stock Exchange. MandrakeSoft won a prestigious global Distribution of the Year award at the Linux World Expo in San Jose, CA, for their Linux Mandrake software. Daniel led the team responsible for offices in Canada, US, and Latin America supporting the sales and operations.
Daniel Morales provides a unique perspective on the elements for adding and creating value in a wide range of business. With more than 25 years of training and consulting thousands of small and medium size business, he serves on the board of directors for several for profit and non-profit organizations.
He is a regular contributor to international TV, radio, newspapers, and magazines, including such publications as: Los Angeles Times, La Opinion; television programs on CNN, Univision, NBC, Telemundo, and numerous interviews for Public Access TV; and featured expert on KLVE, KTNQ, KPFK, KPCC, KWKW, and NOTIMEX.
Daniel received his B.S. in Chemical and Computer Systems Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a PhD in Metaphysical Sciences from the University of Sedona.
Daniel is also a licensed Real Estate and Business Broker in the State of California.
Daniel speaks fluent English and Spanish.
Daniel is currently undergoing training as a teacher of Kundalini Yoga.
Daniel resides in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains near Pasadena California. He is an avid practicioner of yoga and enjoysother forms of exercise, gym workouts, cardio sessions. He likes to meditate and is an avid reader of books, websites and magazines. He likes nature and outdoor activities and hiking on the local mountains.
